FLAG Spoken Language Contests

Students can participate when their teacher is a paid member of FLAG.

All students are required to have this photo release form signed and returned at time of submitting final creation. Required Student Photo Release Form

Who can participate?

For FLES, elementary school students up to 5th grade
For secondary contests, students in 8th-12th grades

Only FLAG members can register their students for the Spoken Language Contest.

Languages Include:

Arabic Chinese French German

Japanese Latin Portuguese Spanish

Native/Heritage Speakers

***Additional languages may be considered based on interest and judge availability.

Requirements to Participate

Teacher's FLAG membership dues must be paid before registration for SLC .

$8 fee per student to compete.

Teachers/schools must provide one judge for every 8 student contestants. (Please use your contacts throughout the state to ensure your students have a judge for SLC day.)
